Our story

What do you get when you combine two squash players, a car enthusiast, and a finance guy? A company with game-changing solutions!

AutoVerify started back in 2013 as Mobials Inc., after squash partners Brad Hanebury and James Hayes got talking about a problem they’d noticed in the automotive industry: dealerships didn’t have an easy way to collect and share online reviews. 

That conversation led to the creation of a solution – and the beginning of AutoVerify. To develop the solution, they brought in Marty Meadows, a seasoned automotive expert, along with David Brebner, a CPA, strategic advisor and investor. Together, they launched Canada’s first car dealership review product. The launch was successful and the team began to grow.

As they dug deeper, the team uncovered more gaps in the car buying process. They got to work creating solutions to help with trade-in values, insurance quotes, credit checks, and financing – all under a new brand name, AutoVerify. 

AutoVerify strengthened its capabilities with four strategic transactions, acquiring automotive tech companies AIM Experts, iDealerPlus, ShopDesk, and Car Media in 2021 and 2022. 

Now led by CEO Keith Murray, AutoVerify offers a full lineup of digital solutions for dealerships, manufacturers, and lenders. With over 150 employees and contractors across more than 15 countries, the company has come a long way since its early days.
